Our final Summa Cum Laude spotlight shines on Greta Mämecke!
Greta has maintained the 3.9+ GPA needed to earn Summa Cum Laude while participating in both sideline cheer and women's soccer at PHS.
After her exchange year, Greta has two years of high school left in Germany. She hopes to study journalism and integrate both her English and Spanish language skills into her future career.

Summa Cum Laude Spotlight: Syeda Ayesha!
Ayesha has been a member of National Honor Society, American Sign Language Club, Clear Lake Scholars, and Muslim Student Association. In addition to maintaining the 3.9+ weighted GPA, she has volunteered her time and worked as a lab aide at the Kalamazoo Area Math and Science Center.
She also participated in athletics at PHS as a member of the women's jv soccer team.
In the fall, Ayesha will attend Kalamazoo College to earn a degree in biochemistry.

At Parchment High School, Kailey has participated in National Honor Society and band, where she played trombone and was color guard captain.
In addition to her academic achievements of maintaining a 3.9+ weighted GPA for summa cum laude honors, she was also a member and captain of the women's soccer team.
Next year, Kailey will finish her Early Middle College program at KVCC where she plans to continue to study education.

In the fall, she will attend University of Michigan in Ann Arbor for neuroscience (pre-med).

This week Parchment Middle School partnered with Arbor Financial Credit Union to deliver a real-life budgeting experience to students. 💼💰 Students were assigned careers, salaries, and family situations, then navigated real-life expenses such as housing, food, and transportation. They made budgeting decisions and tracked their spending. This hands-on activity brought financial literacy to life and highlighted the importance of smart money choices!
