Parchment School District Selects Jason Misner as Superintendent

Parchment, Mich. - The Parchment School District Board of Education has selected Jason Misner as the district's new superintendent. Misner replaces outgoing superintendent Matthew Miller who is retiring after more than 11 years with Parchment School District.Misner has served the district for 12 years; 7 years as a teacher, 3 as athletic director and assistant middle school principal, and two as middle school principal. He earned a bachelor's degree in Education from Hope College and a master's degree in Leadership from Western Michigan University.
Board of Education President John Madaras said, "We look forward to working with Jason to make Parchment a destination school district for students, parents, and staff."
Misner, who was the board's unanimous choice, said he is eager to further his work within the district.
"I am extremely humbled and honored to be chosen to serve our students, families, staff, and community as superintendent," Misner said. "I am excited to get to work and look forward to strengthening relationships in our schools and community. Parchment is a phenomenal place to grow and learn and I am extremely appreciative for the opportunity."
Misner and his wife Julie have been married for 11 years. They have three children, Janai, Jack, and James. Misner's school aged children attend Parchment School District.
