Parchment Schools Water Update

Let us begin by thanking our student-athletes, coaches, staff and countless other volunteers who have been helping to unload and distribute bottled water to those effected by the current drinking water issues in our community. This has been a truly remarkable effort by all involved.
How the water impacts our schools:
The following schools are in the advisory region and water is not to be consumed at this time:

The following school receive water from Kalamazoo (not on Parchment water) and are safe for consumption:

The summer lunch program, Meet up and Eat Up will continue providing food and has made provisions to not include the tap water in the process.
Our athletic programs are currently in their summer dead week , so there are no organized practices at this time. Captains practices and student-led conditioning will have bottled water available. If we remain under the water advisory through next week, all athletes will be provided with bottled water for their practices.
The School District is in constant contact with several governmental agencies in relation to the status of the process. We have been assured that the water at each of our school buildings will be individually tested before giving the all clear to renew consumption.
We will continue to update and review our planning and preparation at the schools under the advisement of the governmental entities at work.
