Dear Valued Members of the Parchment School District Family,
At a special meeting held yesterday, the Parchment School District Board of Education voted to begin contract negotiations with Dr. Sarah Neumann to become the next Superintendent of Schools. The Board anticipates that Dr. Neumann will begin to transition into her new role shortly.
The decision was unanimous with all Board Members agreeing to extend the offer. The Board has every confidence in Dr. Neumann’s ability to lead our district and support staff in ensuring a high quality education for every student.
This decision marks the culmination of a process that began last July. School and community members helped the Board develop a profile of the ideal candidate. Following an extensive search ten candidates submitted an application for the position. The Board completed an exhaustive credential review with five candidates identified for a first-round interview. Three finalists were named and the Board made numerous background and reference checks before conducting final interviews on Monday and ultimately deciding to extend the offer to Dr. Neumann.
The Board recognizes the valuable staff and community participation and support in the search. Thank you for your continued support of our students.
