Dear Panther Family,
First and foremost, we would like to thank our community for their support of our November 4th bond proposal. While our bond proposal was not approved by our voters this time, we continue to believe that strong schools build strong communities—and strong communities build strong schools. Your trust and partnership make all the difference, and we are honored to serve the Parchment community as we work together to provide every student with the educational experience they deserve. To stay informed on next steps and to share feedback, please visit www.parchmentschools.org.
As we move into this season of gratitude, there are so many opportunities to connect— with family, friends, and our community. In alignment with our new Strategic Plan, we are committed to creating even more ways for our families and neighbors to come together and celebrate all that makes Parchment special.
Here are just a few of the many ways to get involved this season:
● Veterans Breakfast: Join our PHS Student Council as they honor those who have served our country on Saturday, November 8th, from 9:00–10:30 a.m.
● Fall Movie Nights: Gather at the PHS Auditorium for family-friendly films on November 7th and December 12th, from 6:00–8:00 p.m.
● Wassailing Events: We’ve expanded this year’s celebration! Join us on December 3rd, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Parchment Middle School for caroling, live performances, face painting, crafts, games, and plenty of holiday cheer.
While this season brings much joy, we also recognize that the holidays can be challenging for many—those missing loved ones, navigating financial pressures, or feeling alone. Please consider reaching out to someone who might need an extra measure of kindness or support. Our Family Advocates are also here to help Parchment students and families. You will find information in this issue about ways to support those in need, and also contact information for those who can help if you or your loved ones could use added support this holiday season.
Finally, as we reflect on the year and look ahead with hope, let’s remember to extend grace—to ourselves and to one another. There is so much to be thankful for.
On behalf of all of us at Parchment School District, we wish you a holiday season filled with gratitude, connection, and light.
Warmly,
