Please follow the link at the bottom and complete this form if you would like to switch your high school student's educational program for third trimester.
Superintendent Mr. Misner communicated that the schools are moving to 4 days a week of face to face instruction starting March 15th. Based on this, the Hybrid will no longer be offered for third trimester - you have the option of fully virtual through PVA or 4-day of Face-To-Face instruction. You only need to complete this form if your student is switching programs (to virtual from in person, or from virtual to 4-day in person) for third trimester. Do not complete this form if your student is currently in PVA and plans to remain in PVA, or if your student is currently in Hybrid and plans to remain in the 4-day in person model. Please note that once you make the decision about programming for third trimester, your student must remain in that program throughout the entire trimester. Students may not switch mid-trimester.
The Parchment Virtual Academy (PVA) will continue to use the Edmentum program, and will operate the same as first/second trimester. All students will have five classes that need to be completed for the 12 week trimester. Starting March 15th, students in the current Hybrid program will be returning to school in a 4-day in person learning model. Students will no longer be divided into two separate cohorts, but will instead be attending school together 4 days per week. Students will attend school in person on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Wednesdays will remain virtual. Please review the following details about the 4-day in person model:
• Classrooms - We cannot guarantee social distancing of 6 feet. We will do our best to space students 3 feet apart in classrooms.
• Breakfast/Lunch - We will provide seating to space students 3+ feet apart at lunch.
• Transportation - Students may be seated two to a seat.
• Student/Staff Positive COVID - If a positive COVID case occurs, every student closer than 6ft for over 15 minutes will have to quarantine for 14 days.
**This form must be completed by Tuesday, February 23, 2021. Your student will stay in their current program (virtual or in person) if we do not receive a form for your student.
