ELEMENTARY STUDENT HANDBOOK
Purpose of the Handbook
The purpose of the Elementary School Student Handbook is to provide you with information about our elementary schools. This handbook contains rules, regulations, procedures and policies which are adhered to by all of our elementary schools. Additional procedures and information pertinent to a particular elementary school will be sent home in a separate document.
It is required that you read the information, discuss it with your child. Please also sign and return the parent signature page, confirming that you have read and understand the contents covered in the Elementary Student Handbook. Guardians and staff who work together are better able to help each student develop to their fullest potential — academically, physically, socially, and emotionally. If you have any questions and concerns, please call your student’s elementary school.
This handbook does not contain every rule or policy of the district. Rules, policies, procedures and/or activities are subject to change during the school year, with sufficient notification to the students. The rules, policies and procedures in this handbook do not supersede federal, state or local laws or ordinances.
No person in the Parchment School District will be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity on the basis of ethnicity, religion, gender, disability or any other legally protected status. Inquiries by students and guardians related to discrimination on the basis of disability should be directed to the Superintendent.
